Dunkirk in 70mm

I know on previous shows the VFX work has been carried out at 8K for the IMAX scenes (even though IMAX doesn't have the MTF for 8K). Does anyone know if Nolan supervises the DI/DCP these days or will it be a best guess approximation of the 35/70mm?
The transfer to full length features was a survival move for IMAX as before that it was literally just a documentaries and short films format (albeit a phenomenal format). It wasn't long ago that films had to be edited down in length in order to be physically able to project them.

There is a 70mm version showing near me in Glasgow, Scotland. You can add that to the list.

I am sure that I’m not the only one that suspects that Nolan may have a director’s approved, longer cut of this film.  I also suspect that the studio/distributor talked Nolan into having him prepare a theatrical cut that runs just about 2 hours, so that they can save money on ordering prints of reels for this longer cut where in the end, one of those prints, inadvertently (heh! heh! heh!), gets lost.

I saw it yesterday, and I dunno, it didn't seem like something was missing. The story was cohesive, the lack of dialogue making way for a more visual story telling mode made for an awesome experience in IMAX and definitely Nolan's best film to date.
If 2 hours was the limit set by Warner, then Nolan wasn't dead set at getting as much as possible in it, because it's actually about 100 minutes long.

If there is a 150 minute "Nolany" version of the film, I'm not sure I want it. I'll give it a chance, but sometimes less is more.

What a strange chain of logic. For a high-profile studio release, this is one of the most uncompromising films I've ever seen - it's exactly the film Nolan wanted it to be.
