Well, I finally finished preliminary work on a Blu-ray cover for this one:

I know I could make a few improvements here and there, but... how's it look?

I'll change "personal copy" and "not for sale", as it reads "personal not for" and "copy sale"! Big Grin
Beware also of the images near the borders, that may be cut printed too near - leave some "headroom" around all the borders; I use this measures for my covers, printed at 300dpi: 3148 x 1778 (which includes 15 pixels of headroom for each border, so the printed real measure is 3118 x 1748, but I let images "bleed")

The vertical alignment for each is exactly as I intended for covers done in the Warner style; also, I'm perfectly aware of the headroom issue and am deliberately designing the covers so I don't lose any important information.

Anyway, I'm planning on making an international trailer based on the original Italian trailer. Here is the original Italian narration, transcribed by Andrea himself:

"Gli alberi tristi del linciaggio, che hanno per frutti amari i nodi scorsoi, lo conoscevano... Joe, che qualche volta non aveva un dollaro per la sua sete, ma alla sua Colt 45 non mancavano mai sei proiettili.
"Compariva sempre puntuale, Joe, e nessuno sapeva mai da dove venisse...
Joe, una pistola che non aveva mai mentito, e che aveva tante tacche per tanti orologi fermati... la sua inesorabile Colt 45."

The following is one possible translation:

"The grim hanging trees, with the slip knots as their bitter fruits, knew him... Joe, that sometimes did not have a dollar for his thirst, but to his Colt 45 never missed six bullets.
"He always appeared on time, Joe, and no one ever knew where he came from...
Joe, a gun he did not have never lied, and that he had so many notches for so many stopped watches... his inexorable Colt 45."

And here's my initial attempt at a polished translation:

"From beneath the grim hanging tree, with the rope as its bitter fruit, came a stranger: Joe, whose thirst for dollars knew no bounds, and whose Colt 45 never missed a shot.
"Joe always appeared on time, and no one ever knew where he came from.
But his inexorable Colt 45 has never lied, having emptied many bullets into many human victims."

Any opinions?

Unfortunately, upon closer inspection I'm forced to scrub the international trailer recreation. There's just too many alternate and/or extended shots for the international trailer recreation to be worth it.

Here's the base I'll be using for the project trailer. Ripped straight from my Region A Blu, it looks rough and cropped to 16:9, but it looks a lot easier to recreate. 🔍https://we.tl/GsukNXmjGY

If anything, Ritrovata cares less about the Dollars Trilogy than Kino does; after all, they're the ones responsible for polluting the prints with excessive yellows, moreso than is necessary on a Sergio Leone film.

Are we sure the problems we have been seeing with Ritrovata restorations are just bad conversions to delivery media? In that Im talking the conversion to rec709 and 8bit ect.

I'm 100% certain it's that too. I have a recording from TV of FOD from that new master and to me, it's much better than the old one (sadly it's encrypted so I can only play it on my cable box and cannot rip or share). Any excessive green or yellow is probably due to the conversion.
