not sure. I imagine so since universal has a habit of changing audio on their movies they also did this on the blu ray of The Jerk and American Werewolf in London and dropped the original audio

Must have been done for the 5.1 mix so they could make the shooting sounds more immersive or something like that. I'm curious to know if there are more changes.

I figured there might be some changes but I only have the BD release. Overall it still feels like a 1983 mix but I don’t have the old p/s LD to compare against.

The sound effect where creosote vomits on the menu has excellent dynamic range. I used it To test my ht setup.
