[Help] Anyone have the Spider Man World Trade Center scene?

I just read, that, according to Sony, the scene was not intended for the movie, and was just for the trailer... That was released August 2001... Also it is said, that there was a movie poster featuring the Twin Towers being reflected in Spidermans Eye.
It is said, that this poster also was recalled by Sony. https://www.salon.com/2011/05/10/10_year...erman_wtc/ http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2010/10/22/o...man-teaser

Too bad that people now feel to make money out of it...
I think, it was okay, that Sony pulled it back September 2001, but it could be re-released now. 9/11 never should be forget, and if in 50 years some kid would see the trailer, and asks "Dad, what building is that?" it could be told the story how the world got shaken and shocked...

Yeah I guess I can understand how it would have been weird to "let them stand" in the trailer. It would be nice if they rereleased it, but frankly I don't think this is even on anyone's radar at Sony. Public demand probably is also not extremely high so as to justify putting money into a rerelease.

300$ is insanely high for a trailer - you can get an entire 35mm film for that price; still, it would bring us a 70s scene (that is much!) that could eventually be inserted within the BD... Tom, maybe you can try to start a new thread (here, on OT, and maybe somewhere else, too), to raise that amount; for the scanning, I'm pretty sure one of our member would be able to find out a good quality solution at a great price.
EDIT: look at what I've found for 60$? https://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-Kino-Tr...Sw5UZY80rp For the lazy ones, translation from google: Quote:Original, first movie advertisement (teaser) from 2001 to the later film from the year 2002 in Breitwand (normal picture / flat) and in the German theatrical version. He shows a specially filmed plot, which is not included in the later feature film. The teaser is complete and in very good condition - it has no splices, no flaws and of course no vinegar smell. The colors are still immaculate. He was pre-copied on the feature film "Final Fantasy".

Whoa nice find. Right up my alley too (Germany). German version though, but I think that can be forgiven? It only runs another day but I could ask the seller to maybe have patience with the payment (I only get money next month). If that works out, someone would still need to scan it. I can only scan individual frames with my scanner. Scanning a whole trailer would take me an estimated 2 weeks of non stop work (no sleep). Update: We should keep in mind that not all 35mm trailers really do look as good as 35mm can look. Just to put the price in perspective. The Armageddon trailer I bought, for instance, seems to have some blurriness issue, as if it had been transferred through a slightly defocused lens. |
