Anyone else know about this 'slightly different title sequence'? The only thing I can think of is the re-done titles for the director's edition of the film (the titles kinda phased into the screen on that one if you know what I mean) I got tickets to see this on the 19th so happy to report back.

But maybe since the prints were rushed, maybe they forgot something or didn't finish it. Same thing happened to Wrath of Khan, where the title was changed from Star Trek to Star Trek 2 on video. So ST1 being changed would not be in a vacuum.

Wonderful! I've never seen this particular version, although I did see the movie in the theater when Fathom Events did a release a couple of years ago. Thank you for your hard work! Looking forward to watching this soon.
