[Help] Which PC to chose?

Hi, guys.

I'm considering to buy a new PC, and I'm looking at these 2 :

The idea is to replace my, what, 7 year-old PC (https://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informat...0-195.html). It's basically for encoding HD videos, from Blu-ray and UHD to HD conversion, so I'm looking for faster encoding than what I have now. I also have that one, more recent (https://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informat...c-780.html), which is apparently faster than my old i5 even though it is an i3 only.
So I'm seeking for advice to chose between these two i7 above. Which one has the better processor, the better RAM, the better graphics, etc.? I'm not a project maker, but with a new PC, I'm considering to give another shot at Davinci Resolve. That's not the criteria, just something in the back of my mind. It's mostly for encoding purposes, I'm not a gamer at all. I have so many external hard drives that the more USB connexions the better. Fot that last criteria I can see which one has the upper hand for myself, but I have no knowledge in processors quality and frequency, combined with Nvidia or Intel for graphics, DDR4 RAM, etc.

I'd go with the i8700 (https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/In...3937vs3887) but be aware that the one with i7700 has a better GPU - even if you could upgrade it more easily, than upgrade the CPU...

If you can find out one with an i8700 AND a good GPU, it would be better...

So the Nvidia is a better GPU than the Intel? Is that to be taken into account for my encoding purposes? I thought that was just for gamers?

I always choose NVIDIA simply because I use DGIndexNV for decoding.

Also don't forget that the vast majority of GPU-supported deep learning software seems to be CUDA-based, which only works with NVIDIA. Maybe you don't care, but there's some crazy cool stuff you can do with that.

So, I guess the HP Pavillon would be better for me. It seems to be comparable with the Lenovo, but it has more USB connexions...

Dunno... Lenovo has a better GPU and Optane *should* increase speed, at least in some instances; still, dunno if it could help in the video editing field.

So, I guess I should go for the Lenovo and buy a multi-USB hub for extra connections to the external hard drives and Blu-ray player/burner...

has i7-8700 processor and GeForce GTX 1060, it should be pretty great for rendering and encoding. Nvidia cards can speed up rendering process a lot, thanks to the CUDA technology.
