[Help] Can DaVinci Resolve trim without re-encode?
#11
Last night I looked at it for 10 minutes but I remember having troubles in finding how to add a new source after I edited the first clip. Tonight I'll look at it again more carefully. Meanwhile at work I tried TMPGenc Authoring Works 6, seems good for menus but is there any way to do the authoring without having to reencode the whole thing?

I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.

You cannot have two sources open both at once, just hit file at the top and there will be options to open a source as well as a list of recently opened files for simplicity. The joiner will keep all edits from each previous opened file in its window to navigate and open if you need to update a previous edit.

Ahhhh! Alright. I'll give it a shot. TMPGenc Smart Renderer is a a lot more friendly and intuitive in that sense but if it works fine I'll be using Videoredo. Thanks!

I'm the opposite, couldn't get on with TMPGenc, found it over complicated, Videoredo I found a doddle, just open each file, apply your first edit, add to joiner, open second file, apply your second edit, add to joiner and so forth and so forth and then save your joiner, couldn't be easier.

Been using it for years and years to edit out commercisls, and where I wish to have an almost untouched project, through many iterations, worth every penny.
