Optical audio of Return of the Jedi Grindhouse 35mm?
#1
I was thinking of trying to combine the 4k83 optical audio with the optical audio from the Rotj Grindhouse 35mm released a long time ago, in order to improve the audio quality/reduce noise with some method I thought of.

To my disappointment, I noticed that the optical audio isn't included at all.

Does anyone have it, by any chance? Or any way to get it?

Of course any additional source would be welcome too, a higher number would even allow a Median, possibly. It has to be PCM or some lossless format though. Doesn't have to be polished or anything, ideally it's just the raw capture.

Sorry, I don't have it. Speaking of 35mm Star Wars audio, do you know if is there a lossless version of the Empire Strikes Back Grindhouse release (or any alternates)? The one I found only had a lossy Dolby Digital track.

Yep there is. It has a 48kHz 16bit PCM track. I also made a version of it that's GOUT-synced with TMPEG Smart Renderer, if that's interesting to you. If so, it's on Blutopia.

Oh sweet! I will have to try and get my hands on that. Btw, did you get the LUT someone made over on OT to color correct ESB Grindhouse? I just exported it the other day, haven't had time to watch it yet but it looks way more consistent. I figured I might as well try to upgrade the audio too haha..

I personally wasn't a fan of that LUT, assuming you speak of the Dreamastered version. Which is the main reason I even did this project, as the Dreamastered version is already GOUT-synced. I just wanted it to look original and "raw". Heh.

No, it's not Dreamastered, there is another with just basic fixes for fading. It was buried in a thread for one of the projects, I will try to figure out where I ran into it.

Edit: Here it is: https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Team-N.../47#886745

Eh, I don't really care that much to be honest. But maybe someone else does?
