Technical data

Format:

Matroska .mkv

Video:

2160p Ultra High Definition
widescreen 2.35:1 original aspect ratio
framerate 23.976fps
HEVC encoded 54mpbs 10bit
(*should* be UHD-BD compliant)

Audio:

DTS-HD MA 2.0 from BD: English
DD 2.0 640kbps from DVD: Australian, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish
DD 2.0 224kbps from BD: French

Subtitles:

English, French, German, Italian, Spanish

Notes:

UHD used as source; DVD used as color reference with acclaimed ColourMatch™ regrading technique
The aim of the project is preserving the UHD higher quality, retaining the "spirit" of the DVD color - that *probably* is close to theatical presentation; do note that this regrade is somewhat different in some shots in comparison to DVD color and/or contrast

Great stuff! Ideally the Australian mono track should be the default audio; the way they are listed out here makes it look like the DTS-MA one might be. Not a huge deal, but just a heads up to anyone who watches: If you're going to watch this for the first time, switch to the Australian audio.

I'm still interested in your ColourMatch™ script / technique.
Any chance of you sharing a little bit of your magic box Wink

This is amazing. Just watched the movie in 4k the other day. And the colors looked strange to me. Now i know why.

What was the UHD source? I remember there was a planned German 4K Blu Ray release but as far as I know it never happened. Was it released somewhere else in UHD?

Whatever the source this looks like a great project.
Program material is recorded on the other side of this disc...

I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.

I believe it was a web-DL that went around.

You going to continue this series spoRv?
