Over at blu-ray.com forum a member said that the 2014 release of the AVP & AVP-R double feature on Blu-ray fixed the seamless branching and missing scenes of AVP-R. Does anyone may have this set and could provide the proper unrated version of AVP-R?

It is my [spoRv] version - you could see it here: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.c...opic/16422
Sadly, was deleted along with other things for mistake, hence you should ask someone to reseed it!

Ooops... is there a proof those shots are really there? What about brightness level?

No 100% confirmation. But the issue was know to FOX. So this can be true. Only sure thing to know is with someone who has the disc.
As for the black-level... Nope... Same ugly darkness.

People on Blu-ray.com are also reporting that the 2008 disc actually plays the Unrated version of the film, now. Apparently due to player firmware upgrades.

A firmware update wont do any good, because two scenes for the unrated version aren't even on the disc. It will just play the theatrical scenes at the two places...
Scene 1: Homeless person gets inpregnated by the Pred-Alien Scene 2: Blonde girl gets cut in half from the Predator's boomerang star

It's entirely possible they don't know what they're talking about.

Well, if those shots are not on the disc, I can say that's impossible - unless the blu-ray player is able to download the missing shots from internet on internal memory, and then show them at the right time...

Andrea is right. But it seams that FOX fixed this issue with the 2014 re-release.
