So there is a fourth music version? If I am not wrong, I already have the movie with three different music tracks. According to my DVD profiler I have an anchor bay DVD with English mono...

I am now searching for a release with the wrong audio..

Well, my recent eBAy buy of the Double PAck of ABT1 and ABT2 from Anchor Bay just showed up. Sadly the ABT1 DVD seems to be the corrected one with only mono Audio listed on the Backside.

So, regarding ABT1:
I think either the discs on the re-release is the same, as the one with the old infos on the backside.
Both discs have 2.0 Audio for Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Even with the one disc states Chace Stereo Mix and Cantonese 5.1 audio.
On both discs the english music differs in the scene of the restaurant massacre start up. English track uses the later reoccuring music from Mqrks walk into the garage, to retrive the data.

Yes that music was always in the international prints.
The music differed between the domestic & international, that is normal, cantonese pop songs weren't in the international versions.
The Forrest Gump music and stuff, then added another variation on the soundtrack, 10 years + after the film.

So... Seems as the first DVD also had the normal domestic version. Except they made three runs... And there is a run with Cantonese 5.1 mentioned on the background, but a different disc...

I just checked some of my DVDs for that A Better Tomorrow 1.
So far I made out three different Music Versions on the Restuarant Entrance Scene, when Mark is hiding the guns:
One Version so far in english:
The more dark tune, that is also used, when mark is entering the garage to retrive the data.
Two different cantonese Versions:
One with the chionese singing,
and one with complete different musik. some asian sounding tunes without singing, and when mark is retriving the data the musik is more like on a michael bay film.

Is the faulty version with Forrest Gump music a 2.0 or 5.1 audio? Is it only on the Cantonese and/or Mandarin?
Also which part of the movie would have the replaced music?
