Yeah, when I logged in today and noticed all the new threads, I was very excited. It's great to see this "baby" grow!

It sure is a wonderful place, even if at times it gets slow. We just have to remember we all have other things going on especially in the summer! I'm sure this place will grow even more as time goes on. More great projects and more people to contribute. Having a place to finally share your work like blu-torrents makes it all the better.

Agreed! Not only do people have their own lives, but also, some of the projects that are being worked on a very time-consuming so while it might look like there not much going on here... "behind-the-scenes" the hamsters are turning the wheels

In view of events at the time of this post, a quick refresher on the definition of spam and spammer is in order, to prevent slander.

Spamming is the use of messaging systems to send an unsolicited message (spam), especially advertising, as well as sending messages repeatedly on the same site. While the most widely recognized form of spam is email spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social spam, spam mobile apps, television advertising and file sharing spam. It is named after Spam, a luncheon meat, by way of a Monty Python sketch about a restaurant that has Spam in every dish and where patrons annoyingly chant "Spam!" over and over again.

Spamming remains economically viable because advertisers have no operating costs beyond the management of their mailing lists, servers, infrastructures, IP ranges, and domain names, and it is difficult to hold senders accountable for their mass mailings. The costs, such as lost productivity and fraud, are borne by the public and by Internet service providers, which have been forced to add extra capacity to cope with the volume. Spamming has been the subject of legislation in many jurisdictions.

A person who creates spam is called a spammer.

n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another, which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed. Slander is a civil wrong (tort) and can be the basis for a lawsuit. Damages (payoff for worth) for slander may be limited to actual (special) damages unless there is malicious intent, since such damages are usually difficult to specify and harder to prove. Some statements, such as an untrue accusation of having committed a crime, having a loathsome disease or being unable to perform one's occupation, are treated as slander per se since the harm and malice are obvious and therefore usually result in general and even punitive damage recovery by the person harmed.

If you've made it this far, you can see that members who speak their mind, reply to others, or simply work in their project threads should never be referred to a spammers, unless the accuser is a slanderer (perhaps worthy of a temp ban himself?).
