I hate "The Big Lebowski". It is just so boring and tries so hard to be cool. But then it is from the Cohens. What else would was I expecting?
On the other hand, I really enjoyed Indy 4. I just watched it recently for the second time. First time was on release date in cinema. God, I hated it for all the obvious reasons. But after rewatching the whole trilogy + 1 I came to the conclusion, it is not as bad as I remembered. In fact it has all the Indy nonsense from the previous movies. The only scene which is still over the top is Tarzan LeBoeuf. Still don't like it. But in general I rate it higher than Temple of Doom.

Yeah, the fight with the evil Superman and Clark Kent is the best part of the movie.

I'd argue Thunderball is the best Sean Connery 007 film with Goldfinger much lower on the spectrum LOL

I could wax poetic all day about ridiculous low-budget schlock that I enjoy, but the title of this thread is "un-POPULAR movie opinions" and not "UN-popular movie opinions (right? lol). So without further adeu...::deep breath::
- I actually like "Stayin' Alive" for its cinematography, tone (love me some 80's cheese), the dance numbers, and of course, the music. Finola Hughes and Cynthia Rhodes are damn easy on the eyes too, I must say.
- While I don't like it more than the original, I LOVE Predator 2. As kids, our parents let my little brother and I watch all the R-rated action movies we wanted, as long as we covered our eyes during any sex/nudity. Back then I watched Predator 2 almost as much as the first.
- Cobra is my favorite non-Rocky, non-Rambo Stallone flick.
- Rocky 4 is my favorite movie of all time.
- Last Action Hero is my 5th favorite Arnold flick. I love it more than Commando, True Lies, Kindergarten Cop, Conan, and even Terminator 2.

I HATE everything the Cohen brothers have ever done (except one), and yet I torture myself watching their films hoping to find something I love as much as their perfect 'The Hudsucker Proxy'.

ok, apologies for the long post:
So from previous posts gonna give a big shout out to both Highlander 2 and Rambo 3 - love em both. Also I like the Avengers movie (based on the uk tv series not the Marvel one)
For me H2 is the only Highlander live action sequel that feels bigger and expands on as well as continues the original story/mythos - even if the way it went about it didn't go down well.
In comparison H3 & H4 both feel like they are remakes/re-imaginings of the original with different characters. Whilst I like them both they don't have the ambition of H2. H5 again tries to expand the mythos but feels so small visually - the Highlander Heart interview with Brett Leonard is really fascinating on the BTS on this film.
The best movie sequels such as Aliens & Terminator 2 all take the same approach as H2 -they feel bigger, expand the story/mythos and feel ambitious, just they did it better.
Rambo 3, again has its failings but it is never less than really really entertaining. A friend once said he saw no point in watching the hot shots movie which parodies R3 as R3 itself is such an (unintentionally) fun parody of the Rambo series in its own way and far more enjoyable. Some of the set pieces are really well done and it lends itself well to being seen on a large screen with a couple of drinks and a few mates round.
I also like The Avengers movie despite its flaws. I dont know too much about it but do recall that there is a lot more footage/scenes which still exists and could be used to make a DC/different edit. The main issue is it took the oddness of the tv series and didn't quite understand what to do with it/how to make it work. However Connery in full get up is a blast as the villain and Fiennes makes an excellent Steed. I dont think ive ever come across a fan edit using alternate/cut scenes, but would love to see it revisited.
