Yeah, even of the old theatrical cut was distributed as directors cut, exactly how it is written on the vover bow, they reinserted scenes, and tries to reconstructure the extended version.
So the longer version has upscaled inserts. Details here: https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=916375 So, I am a bit happily surprised, did not expect any efford at all from the company.

Do you know if the theatrical version is an upscale? It looks like they went to a lot of effort, and even (according to the link you posted) reinserted a shot into the extended cut that was only ever in a trailer. |
