With an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train barreling toward a city,

a veteran engineer and a young conductor race against the clock to prevent a catastrophe.

This will be made from 2 sources - WEB-DLRip (24fps) 1080p open matte and HDTV (25fps) 1080i open matte.

The HDTV will be de-interlaced and converted to 23.98fps and used for the main image as it's higher quality but has a logo.
The WEB-DLRip will be used for masking the logo.

What can I say, I like Tony Scott/Denzel Washington movies.

EDIT: Project cancelled as there's a good quality Netflix version out there.

I have a Russian WEB DL I don't even remember whether it got into the network or not, but the content in some scenes is less than in HDTV 1HD

@maksnew kindly helped out with another better quality source but it's pretty butchered so will take me awhile to get done right.

@arriflexicution another favourite railroad of mine is 'Runaway Train'.

The Great Train Robbery is also a great railroad film, and I loved The General ( 1926, Buster Keaton ). Saw that at a very young age!

No rush, take your time. I saw your Ghost Protocol Burj Khalifa IMAX AR video. I wish Paramount had released the IMAX AR with the new 4K Blu-rays because that is ( at least in my opinion ) in the top 10 for best IMAX scenes.

As a newbie to FanRes, how do I see your finished product? ( I own Ghost Protocol but not Unstoppable )

Ghost Protocol IMAX finished product is my project (I gave my final version to Hitcher after he started his own project and posted his version of the Burj video) and my version will not be shared with any newbies as per Hitcher’s post above (thanks given) so please do not request.

Just remembered that Lone Ranger ( 2013 ) had a ton of real steam trains in the film. They custom built steam engines and a 5 mile loop in the desert for filming!

I have recently watched this one out of a copy I found on a great blog. It doesn't have the logo but I'm not sure what's the quality
