The funny thing is Point Break UHD is the best Cameron recent release out there in this batch of remasters.
It's the only one he didn't messed with.

To give a little perspective on all the fiasco, I don't think JC is involved in those recent remasters of his own films at all.
Notice how every bonus is Jon Landau presenting, not JC.
My take: Much money has been spent on Avatar 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 and in order to complete 4 & 5, Disney gave more money, in exchange of releasing the back catalogue in any shape or form very quick to recoup. The fact that they all come out at the same time is a hint.
If JC had doctored them, they would have come out, one at the time.
