I'm not going to take sides, but I will say that everyone involved has been an invaluable help for multiple reasons, whether to myself or the forum as a whole.
That includes spoRv whose help with a recent matter was quite illuminating.
If a resolution can be reached, great. If not, I wish everyone in the best in their endeavours and will continue to contribute.

This is sort of what the Movie-List board did for many years, and it prevents useless users from registering -- the kind who post once and then lurk for their free stuff. And it would effectively be no different from the PM system people use now to share things. Mods, is this something you would ever consider?

Frustrating to browse, OT can be! :) The forum's layout is hard to navigate, all non-SW preservations are crammed into one section, there are lots of ridiculous threads that would never be entertained here... it's not a bad site but it doesn't always feel like a serious place.
SpoRv, it would be a shame if you left because of a quarrel over ownership. The feelings towards some members might be hard at the moment and, from what I could briefly read, the scars might never go away completely, but if you give enough time to cool off I'm sure no one would object to your continuing partecipation as active member, just like no one objects to the fact that you were key to jumpstarting this community, always active and welcoming new members. See it like this, you'll have more time to dedicate to your projects without the burden of administrating the forum. It doesn't lessen your presence or work in any way. The communities are made of partecipating members and are known and remembered only for that.
It's the years of COVID, man. I'm just glad that whoever writes on this board is still alive.

One annoying thing will be replacing forum.fanres.com links with fanrestore.com ones in all posts. I will have to take the forum offline for that, hopefully for no longer than 30 minutes. If you see a 403 error sometime this week, don't be alarmed.
This is painful. That's all I have to say.
also the new logo doesn't work very well on the dark theme print screen windows
i made one that should work on all themes hopefully ? following a similar colour scheme
