Oh yes, the color timing is nice, it matches the Criterion. It seems there is a funky thing with the framerate on the theatrical with my player, but I can't point out exactly what. I need to review it. As usual, the bonuses are all over the place, and you're better off owning the HK DVD for the longer cut, as for the extra-long cut, it's VHS quality.

The cool thing is the choices of audio:

Original Cantonese 2.0 LPCM (Scanbox DVD)
Original Cantonese 2.0 LPCM (Criterion LD)
Cantonese Hybrid 2.0 LPCM (HKR Exclusive)
English Dub 5.1 DTS-HD (Hong Kong Legends DVD)
Mandarin 5.1 DTS-HD (Universe Laser & Video Co. DVD)
John Woo & Terence Chang Commentary (Criterion DVD)
John Woo Commentary (Fox Lorber / Winstar DVD)
B L Commentary (Hong Kong Legends DVD)

I didn't compare with the previous project we had here, I'll dedicate a couple of hours switching back and forth and will get back to you.

I think he mentioned earlier that he hadn't seen the HKR version. I purchased it recently and am hoping to watch it soon. I would imagine that it's superior to any version currently available though. Not only are the subtitles freshly translated properly, but the video and audio quality should be better than anything currently available. Smile

I ordered a physical copy towards the end of May, but no sign of shipment yet

I think HKR got flooded with orders

I’m in no rush since I expected it to take a while, but I do hope I receive it at some point

I had a quick look...

Hard Boiled is the Dragon Dynasty master.

The Killer looks like it maybe a DNRed and color corrected version of the old Fortune Star master.
It has a few of the unique faults this master has in the opening credits and the same horrible remixed soundtrack (in Stereo here).
In comparison, The Scandinavian DVD upscaled or corrected Dragon Dynasty master still look much better.
