The last time I watched the extended trilogy was when they came out on 4K UHD, which sure had its pros and cons. I'm keen on checking out Dwalin/44rh1n's regrade of FotR and Dwalin's TT, but would be keen on an encode at maybe twice the bitrate. What are your guys' go-to versions of these films?

Dre's 4k upscales look very nice, and have that synced up to the Cinema DTS audio. I'm waiting for him to finish his regrade of the EE's.

No doubt they look great. Maybe a little too punchy in scenes. I'm waiting for the EEs for them too. I wish I could get my head around using AutoOverlay so I could put together my preferred viewing experience
