[In progress] Jurassic Park 35mm 6.5K scan + 14 trailers
Does the new file with the fixed audio still need the TrueHD audio added to it? My 4K player still won't play the audio on the new file via USB.

No it has all three audio tracks in it already.

Hmm, I guess my 4K player just doesn't like the audio formats for some reason. It won't play any of the tracks at all. My Xbox Series X and PS5 won't play the audio either.

My laptop does, but that's not how I prefer to watch films.

Maybe those players expect blu-ray specs which I think perhaps insists on 48kHz or 96kHz audio??
I can make a DTS-MA resampled 48kHz audio file. If you player does support 44.1kHz then that's better since no re-sampling done, but if not might be the only choice (assuming it fixes the issue).

HD versions sent out now.

(not the re-sampled 48kHz audio file or combined file yet though)

>Just curious, what’s your next steps for this?

the 4k 1.85 version with the pink little missing scene insert bits also fixed (as already are in the 1080P standard gamut color version links above, it’s all set, just the rendering out of the video file bogs down machine totally for a few straight days so have to pick the right time)

open matte (for now the same as 1.85 ratio Beta 4, just open matte, but also without the reel 1 green emulsion line fix that the 1.85 already has done for that)

side by side verifying color grading for the rest of the reels and then doing any scene by scene global tweaks as needed

vertical green lines removed from remaining scenes (or maybe some most key ones first and then the rest later)

maybe patching in the few little blips of missing frames from a better scan source

eventually maybe handling a few tricky scenes where parts of scene need one calibration tweak and other parts of frame a different (or alternative option possibly)

some bits of the most egregious blobs of dirt manually cleaned up

also somewhere in the above mix get the trailers that were a side part of this project processed up and finished, will mix in some of that somewhere along the above stuff

--------

but need to get base version of AOTC project out

so the first step above and then a mix of AOTC work and rendering out the intermediate open matte JP frames when computer is not being used for that

the other things below after first base version of AOTC is out

open matte (for now the same as 1.85 ratio Beta 4, just open matte, but also without the reel 1 green emulsion line fix that the 1.85 already has done for that)

side by side verifying color grading for the rest of the reels (so far done for most of reel 1, up until the helicopter lands on the island has been color verified; generally it should be mostly fine for the rest but some scenes might have proved tricky for the overall calibration designed for this and need some tweaks; the overall base calibration did use scenes from other reels already when it was getting made so it has been compared to some bits later on already though actually too) and then doing any scene by scene global tweaks as needed

The pictures of this restoration looks amazing.

Would love to support and donate for the project @2001CluelessDianogas if still possible?
