The Japanese Laserdisc has a Japanese language LPCM Mono track. Another Japanese Laserdisc has Japanese subs that can be transcribed and encoded.

Wow. That's truly a herculean task. Are you looking for multiple international soundtracks for these movies/episodes as well? I'm currently hunting for Norwegian VHS tapes from the eighties with original dubs for the featurettes (to be honest, I haven't confirmed that the individual movies were dubbed, so it's possible that the compilation is the only Norwegian dub that exists), and the Norwegian DVD and VHS releases of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
A Swedish friend of mine is also trying to collect a complete set of Winnie the Pooh episodes, and I'm sure he can contribute a lot of Swedish dubs, if you're interested.

When remuxing many moons ago, I confirmed that jerry's release is in sync with the WEB-DL.  I thought that I'd posted this at the time, but I didn't, so better late than never...

For quick-and-easy video sync checking...
Code:
ffmpeg -i input1.mkv -i input2.mkv -filter_complex vstack=inputs=2 -c:v h264 -f matroska pipe:1 | mpv -

Step through frame by frame.

Wow, this work sounds amazing. I have never liked the BR of The Sword in the Stone. So much detail has gone lost in the picture and the fake 5.1 audio is just horrible. I am so glad I found this thread, though I seem to have found it too late. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to find this release due to obsolete torrents Sad. Would someone be so kind to point me to the right direction Smile.

I managed to find a copy of the release. What an excellent job  Smile .

I am wondering regarding the mono sound quality of the Scandinavian languages.

Out of Swedish, Danish and Norwegian, the Norwegian mono sound has clearly the lowest noise levels. One can notice that the Norwegian audio has received some care for the DVD release. That being said, the Swedish and Danish mono sound has quite a lot of noise for a DVD release and sounds more like they come from a VHS release. I used to own this movie in Swedish on VHS and I remember the noise level to be quite similar (at least I think so...).
I have no issues cleaning up the noise level myself for these two languages. But the noise level brings a curious question to mind.

I did notice that you have written that the audio for these languages comes from DVD-releases.
I hope you don't mind me asking if you have used the mono audio for Swedish and Danish from a physical DVD or if you received the audio from someone claiming it to be the mono audio from the Swedish and Danish DVD?

Since I do not own these DVD's myself, I am not able to compare the sound quality.
I am curious to know (and find it quite odd) if the noise level could be like this for Swedish and Danish DVD.

Thank you again for your excellent work.

Best regards
Salle
