[Released] Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) - Theatrical Cut Audio Syncs to 4K 35mm Scan

I mentioned in my post for the T2 SE LD audio that I was working on my own T2 custom. I decided since a bulk of the project was audio syncs I would just release the syncs I did for the Theatrical Cut. I synced a total of 3 tracks to the 4K 35mm Scan.

NOTE: All tracks listed are synced to SPECIFICALLY the 2160p 35mm Optical CC WB at a frame rate of 23.976. The scan is at a frame rate of 24.000, the easiest way to adjust the frame rate is to use MKVToolNix and type in "23.976" into the "Default Duration/FPS" section on the video. You can also speed the audio back up to 24 via eac3to.

1: Original CDS Mix
Sourced from the DTS track on the 2003 Pioneer JPDVD, Available in 24-bit 48kHz FLAC 5.1

2: Original Dolby Stereo SR Mix
Sourced from a bit-perfect capture of the US WS Laserdisc, Available in 16-bit 44.1kHz FLAC 2.0

3: DTS Headphone:X Remix
Sourced from the 2015 US Blu-Ray. I thought this track was rather impressive so I decided to sync it for my project. Available in 24-bit 48kHz FLAC 2.0

3.5: Custom Dolby Atmos "Bed" Upmix
As an experiment I decided to upmix the Headphone:X track to 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos, Do note this track is highly experimental and will not provide a full Atmos experience. Available in 24-bit 48kHz TrueHD 7.1 Atmos

Nice, I have the german HD-DVD, I'm not sure, but I think it has a doctored 6.1 track or something? I can't read it thought. I resold my HD-DVD player years ago.

Nice Ideas, I am always happy for some Terminator 2 audio mixes. As for now, I personally prefer the CDS mix from the japanese DVD, when going english Audio. I don't think I have that '2160p 35mm Optical CC WB' as I have already so many original Discs of that movie, that I do not checked in on all community efforts.

According to the backsides, the german Special Edition HD-DVD (there is no Theatrical Version on HD-DVD in Germany) has 7.1 Tracks in english and german. The HD-DVD also has 2.0 Headphone mixes...
The 6.1 matrixed DTS-ES track was on the first german Special Edition DVD release of Terminintator 2.
Germany also got the Theatrical Cut with a german original 2.0 stereo audio. Sadly, they did not put the effort to make it with englisch original audio mix.

The German HD-DVD includes an English 7.1 track. I haven't seen it on any other release. I know that the Skynet EUR BD includes a German 7.1 track, but can't be used in conjunction with an English 5.1 track if you wanted to pinch the extra channels, as you can still hear German dialogue in them at times

So OK, there's no availability of the HD-DVD 7.1 track out there?

There is a copy of the English HD-DVD 7.1 on Internet Archive ripped by gothamized (who has a bunch of terminator stuff on his page). However according to Kreeep (who is on this thread lol) the 7.1 has severe brickwalling. No idea about it being upmixed or not but because of the brickwalling issues (and my inexperience in syncing 7.1 stuff) I chose not to sync it

What did you use to decode the DTS:Headphone track?

"DTS Headphone:X" is nothing more than a regular DTS-HD MA track with binaural mixing, I decoded the same way you decode those to WAV for syncing purposes
