Superman: The Animated Series first aired on Kids WB! in September 6, 1996. It came out at a time when Superman as we know it was gaining traction on television in the 90s, with this series and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. This TV movie would be released on VHS four days after its broadcast date and on DVD on February 4, 2004. However, this version never was released on Blu-Ray, which had all the episodes restored from the original negative. Because this contains a couple of scenes that NEVER appeared in the three-parter version.

I’ll keep you all up to date for this new reconstruction! Being a huge fan of Superman (and this series), I think this project should be relatively fun to work on! It helps too that the 20th anniversary of Superman: The Animated Series is coming up. Of course this is not he first DCAU TV movie reconstruction I am doing.
