Ah yea, Scarface did have the Dolby Stereo track but not the discreet 4-track mix. That was only on the European DVDs. I'd love to see the new Back to the Future trilogy set have the 70 6-track mixes.

I read some claims that there was a moment or a couple of moments where there's supposedly merely 720p of definition, and other claims that it's just baked into the original elements because of old school optical effects. Personally I haven't seen any problem, it looked very good on videoprojection, the best it ever looked on home video.

IIRC, the issue is an encoding/mastering error during that section that only affects the chroma layer, which leaves the base luma channel with appropriate sharpness, but sub-par detail in the chroma (color) channel.

As a matter of fact, there already is. I've just synced noogai3's bit-perfect audio captures of the complete "Back to the Future" trilogy from the LaserDiscs to the 2020 Ultimate Trilogy Blu-ray set. Those audio syncs can be found on The Internet Archive. However, as nickxcom pointed out, the audio sync for Part 1 is incompatible with the 4K Ultra HD edition.

That is amazing! I'm still holding out for a someone or a group to potentially do something similar for Back to the Future to what Team Negative One did for the Star Wars films, but that would be an unbelievably big undertaking given the modern releases of BTTF don't change nearly as much as the special editions did for Star Wars. But i can dream!

Widescreen and open-matte 35mm scans have existed for a long time.

Except for the audio mixes, was something changed in this trilogy visually for it to be compared with the Star Wars trilogy? Last time I checked, the special effects were still the classic opticals with no CGI tampering.
