LaserDiscs needed for replacing BD audio

The US old releases are likely the same as the Japanese. I'll have to get one and check for that scene. Can't wait to get home and check the sample out.

Also, the 1990s restoration is the source of the new audio. All I can tell they did was replace he missing footage from the general release and supposedly they followed the 70mm mix by mixing it into Dolby surround. There may or may not have been 70mm showings of the restoration. Also the discrete 5.1 renderings are simply ports of the matrix mix and have some slightly better seperation. I've never put the ac3 LD side by side with DVD and BD.

Has anyone finished syncing my Snow White soundtrack to the BD? Or do I have to rerecord it?

The Exorcist is another one that has to come from analog, specifically from the original Japanese LD 10JL-1007 or the "Ever Green" reissue NJEL-01007. (Like with Star Wars, the U.S. release was time compressed to fit on one CLV disc, only the Japanese version was at correct speed over 2 discs.)

The Wild Bunch mono sounds admittedly a bit canned and hemmed in because I'm used to the restored stereo..but it is marvelous for single channel reproduction and clearly mixed back in the day just right. The distortions almost seem like the film jumping or the optical track being so loud that the pickup misses for a brief second.

I thought you were going to recap it or figure out how to capture bit perfect? So nope, nobody had synced it yet, although Chris Solo has Snow White Deluxe CAV [2921 CS]

Could we add El Mariachi to the list?
They have the original spanish audio mix and a rare English dub.
On the pricture side also i believe all versions are less cropped than the DVD/BLU, with only a small set of black bars added. (The japanese LD being the exception and having the whole 16mm frame in 4:3.) so a capture of that would be great also.
