I never knew! I wonder who forgot to insert dialogues there when they went to dub it. It makes me think that was never on the transcript, it's quite unheard of that they might forget something like that, or it was dubbed but mixed wrongly. Anyone from France or Germany has an early release with the theatrical cut at hand?
As far as I know, the dialog's always been low but audible in the English track. In fact, it was noticeably out of sync, which was why Ford's son was brought in to help fix the lip sync digitally for the FC.
I've just watched Blade Runner on Italian TV, it was the version with off-screen narration by a bored Harrison Ford and had no unicorn dream, so I imagine it's the theatrical cut (or international theatrical cut?). I was watching it with the English audio track on and I noticed an audio difference that I don't remember reading about. Dekkard goes into the pet shop to ask about the snake scale (just before going to Taffey Lewis club), on the English track I could hear all the dialogues when he asks the owner to tell him who bought the snake. I was surprised because I remember that scene having no audible dialogues, since Dekkard enters the shop but the camera stays outside and you're not SUPPOSED to hear him from inside the store. In Italian it was how I remembered it: only sounds from the street and no dialogues from inside the shop, it's clear what's happening anyway, Dekkard is roughening up the owner to obtain information. Are there alternate version of that scene in English where you don't hear the dialogues? Which version does it belong to?
Newegg USA has 10TB HDDs for $160 and 8TB HDDs for $125 for the next few hours. I'm tapped out, but if anyone is looking for storage, those are great prices.
It was not in a sleeve shining in the late afternoon sun. Kind of hard to miss. Had a white label like Image titles did, but not certain. Passed that spot yesterday and it was gone of course.
@SilverWook was it without the packaging? Or how did you tell it apart from a vinyl record? i don't know anything about laserdiscs, just curious. I thought they were roughly the same size as records
Just one night... Seems as we drive Friday to the concert... Sleep one night in Warsaw, and drive back to Berlin on Saturday... And on Sunday I'll drive back from Berlin to my personal destonation
According to people on forums.thestarwarstrilogy.com who attended the screening, the print was from the early '80s, with virtually no fade. There was a tear in the print around when the death star explodes, which happened the first and only other time it had been screened.
I believe they made some 15/70 prints though, because I remember seeing a featurette about how they remade the intro scene with the Destroyer with impressive explosions in full frame for IMAX.
Yeah, a friend an I got out tickets in the insane time, when the server were just overheated, but we got lucky. We had seats (was good, my friend had an operation about a week before the concert)
maybe anyone in europe (Germany) interested in a XBox HD-DVD drive? It is possible that I might can buy one for about 20 euro... but I already have two...
I know I haven't been on in a bit, but if anyone's interested I'm doing another livestream tonight on my youtube channel at 8:30 Central. https://www.youtube.com/user/duckyousuckr
one day there will be only CGI movies, or movies with unknown (and cheap) actors with their faces replaces with the ones of dead, famous actors... meanwhile, it's funny to get a mix of the faces of Sylvester Stallone, The Rock and Matt LeBlanc on top of Arnold body!
the most eerie part is how it can't really work out what's in the shadow (or the edge of the face shot over the shoulder) and keeps shifting back to arnold
Can't we have a timetravel movie with the plot, that everything Terminator Movie after Terminator 2 has to be prevented to protect the world from a dark fate?
managed to pick up The Dark Crystal UHD in a 2 for £20 UHD offer. saw the trailer for the new one and went to fish the BD of the original out to discovered that i must of sold it a while back haha
I had some hopes this can be a normal film because; Cameron is back (new trilogy+Hamilton+Schwarzenegger). But unfortunaltley the transcript is garbage. All these big names are more for a market trick. Probably it will be first and the last from new trilogy, same as Genisys. Too bad, they blow up it again. And at the end, it's not Cameron's work, it's Miller's work and from 8 stupid writers... From T2 I didn't see any normal film.
Also on Lethal Weapon, I thought the series was good (I've only seen season 1), really all the sequels were a betrayal of the first film's central theme of Riggs coming back from the verge of suicide, converting the series into a comedy (as this article https://outline.com/ktdHMB calls it the sequels are their own comedy trilogy that didn't fit the theme or genre of the original). The sequels really are completely different off in a world of their own and almost a full parody of the original like what Scary Movie is to Scream or what Ghostbusters 2016 is to the original. Lethal Weapon 2 is my favourite of the sequels if only for retaining some of the original film's essence, not saying that the other two are bad at all but really none of them fit the original.
It would probably be like Lethal Weapon. Younger cast than the one in the film, watered down to make it appropriate for kids, and without everything that made the original great
I think it would be fun, if they would have done it years before, with the original cast. On the other hand, I really would like to see a kind of a "prequel" show, like his missions, and keeping the family unclued...
On one hand, it wouldn't make for a bad show, on the other, I feel like what made the movie even work was Cameron as a director and the leading cast. So to be blunt, I feel like the show will feel very hollow and wouldn't last very long if it does reach the airing of the pilot.
