Thinking about picking up the BD set since its pretty cheap for all 4 movies.

However I was wondering how well are the audio mixes represented on the DTS-HD MA 5.1 tracks? Any added foley effects or general remix nastiness?

Watched them recently. All new remasters and didn't find the audio offensive in terms of new sound fx that stuck out but saying that I'm not that familiar with the films.

The transfers are pretty good.
Bar the annoying updates to there logo's, Warner seem to be pretty good at updating there masters.
I really liked there recent Batman 4k remasters picture wise, although the updated audio is a mess without the option of the original mixes.
I am so glad Lethal Weapon does not suffer this.
I certainly didn't notice if anything had been screwed with.

It would of been nice if they offered the 'Director's Cut's' as an extra.
I really like the additional material included with the first film.

I bought years ago the UK box set with the retro documentary, and I'm quite happy with it. I paid about 15 bucks for the four films.

The LD of course have a slight edge, but this is only if you're really crazy about the series. Overall, these are nice to own.

I agree the DC of #1 is really good, own the NTSC disc with the DTS soundtrack.

Wasn't there a whole big thing at the time about the DTS track for Lethal Weapon?

I don't mind teal.
It's closer to the Theatrical look.
Most of the 35mm scans / slides that pop up show that teal was a big characteristic of 35mm release prints.

If you guys are talking about the Batman movies, I can testify Returns is indeed very much cyan blue on 35mm.

If you guys are talking about Lethal Weapon, I can testify that the 1st one is indeed very much cyan blue on 35mm in the night scenes (smoke, light reflections on the asphalt...) and that the Blu-ray, although it looks quite cinematic, is wrong colorwise 'cause it doesn't look like that. Batman Returns: it's not the exact shade of cyan it should be. It's a rather green shade they used and should be a prettier, bluer one. Kind of like The Abyss. Still a much better approximation than the previous master.

Lethal Weapon: as said above, it's wrong. Looks cinematic but wrong colorwise.

Warner tealed everything when they did these and others of the same vintage.
