I thiiiiink he meant the Criterion Blu-ray. I haven't heard either Criterion DVD releases so I can't vouch for them.

I have a version of this that sounds MUCH better than the Criterion, but I keep putting off syncing it since I've been meaning to fix the luminance of the Toho blu-ray shot by shot first...

Is the Toho Blu-Ray the same master as the BFI Blu-Ray? If I recall correctly, the BFI Blu-Ray looks a lot better than the Criterion.
