Minor update: have upscaled the SD source in the hope I can use it to mask the subs. If not that, we might be able to rotoscope them.
Major update: As stated in the OP, this is really The Film Whisperer's project. I'm really just trying to aid where I can, but hopefully we are able to work around those subs.

Thanks for the reply.
I was able to get the wavve version (see above). No logos, but some of the subtitles needed rotoscoping as they're embedded in the file.

I have also been looking for a WEB DL Amazon for a long time with the full version of the Thunderbolt 1995 movie. But every time it is not very profitable to pay for proxies for different countries, and checks do not bring results.
