It is a DTS-HD file, so an offset of -21ms is required for muxing into MKV. Due to seamless branching issues, I recommend ripping the video with MakeMKV and no audio tracks selected for an un-altered video then muxing this and any other tracks with mkvtoolnix.

What's the best source for the 90's restored 5.1 mix? The BD, DCP, and the one R1 DVD I got a hold of use the redux mix. I've heard the Italian Eagle disc also uses the redux mix but I don't have it to confirm. I've also heard of a German UHD that has it but I haven't been able to confirm that either.
Currently the best source I have is the standard BD in the R1 UHD set (which is ac3 @ 448 kbps).

No.

The restored original mix is only found on the German Theatrical 4K and the various old Theatrical BDs. They are all in AC3 @ 448 kbps.

The Italian Theatrical 4K only has a later mix in DTS-HD MA, but does include the original line of "finding somebody."

Not sure how differently they sound. Some suggests the later mix on the IT 4K is louder, while others say not much of a difference.

One important thing to consider: The IT 4K boasts the best compression, but that's only when you play it in Dolby Vision. Its base HDR10 layer is quite horrible at places with macro-blocking and chroma noise (screen caps). On top of that mediocre HDR10 presentation, its DV FEL layer magically patches things up to a very nice end result. (The FEL contains a video stream that encodes the delta b/w a 12-bit encoding and the already-encoded 10-bit HDR10 base layer.)

Here's the thing though: If you go the remux route, there are very few players that can fully play back DV FEL (profile 7) from m2ts or mkv. Left to choose b/w bad PQ and a slightly non-original audio mix, I would just stick with playing the IT disc.
