The most egregious audio remixes
#21
Question. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Did they do the same thing on 4K for the audio mixes that they did with the first two?

I believe they did, though I didn't check them myself.

Scarface (1982) because we can't have nice things.
Also, Psycho, I would say the Vertigo remixes but one of them had the original sound effects and was ruined by noise reduction, Vertigo always had crap audio outside the 2005 DVD on Digital based physical media even it's original Mono mix. No, the reason why Psychos 5.1 fails is because it's comically overdone and the new sound effects sounds out of place.

With Scarface, are you referring to the 'original 5.1 mix' or that new mix that was done for the platinum edition (with new sound effects etc)

I'm not really up to scratch with the history of that one on Blu-ray or 4K

Platinum edition, for it's an offensive assault on your ears, And then once it's bought up 7.1 it's even more offensive, add noise reduction and high channels one of the worst remixes of all time in my opinion.

Rocky - Mono vs 5.1

Moshroom did a little analysis some time ago. When you check the parking lot scene, as he mentions, this is just awful.

Horrible remixes of Rocky go right back to the PCM LD which also has the parking lot reverb and a bunch of other problems. The best source I've found for the original mono is the analog LD but I only have a partial capture.
