Is anyone aware of a 35mm preservation of Batman Returns (1992) being out there? I remember seeing a couple of screenshot years back that might have been leaked scans from WB's print, before clean-up and modernized color grade. Those screens still had that deep-blue / boardering purple-ish hues in the shadows.
So I take it there was something out there at some point - open matte or matted.
When this disc hits 8800 RPM, you're gonna see some serious shit.

I'm not aware of one in the wild. As for the current grading, it's the closest to the print I saw, except they leaned towards the greener teal instead of the more accurate and bluer cyan in their green-blue dosage. It still is way better than the previous bland greyish transfer.

Nope, not seen one come up yet.
The crading is pretty damn close if a little too uniform, the audio remixes are the worst thing about those discs.

Unless you absolutely want to play the actual discs, know that the UHDs and former Blu-rays have easily compatible masters sync-wise once you determine the initial delay. So you can rip the discs and swap audio tracks from one to the other to obtain the best of both worlds.
