Have now managed to grab D+UK 1080p:

Variable / 7696 kb/s / 12.7 Mb/s / 1920 x 1080

and will use to replace 720p D+UK for fade out/in, remove duplicates/slowdown 23.976fps and add theatrical 1:85 black bars (to match D+UK) to AMC+ which has a higher bitrate.
