If that's the game they're playing, then screw 4K. Blu Ray is good enough for little old me. How many times am I supposed to repurchase my movie collection in one lifetime anyway?

Every moron wants them expensive speakers filled
They don't realise their receivers have a button to do just that

I checked out the 7.1 on Magic Dance and agree. Wasn't too impressed with it.

The Dolby Atmos remix on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (which Sony also remastered in 4K alongside Labyrinth) was very great unlike in Labyrinth, the songs were just too tinny in Labyrinth.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon's Atmos track was very powerful and faithful to the original 5.1 mix. And if you can turn off the Atmos speakers and the rear left and right speakers, it will sound just like the 5.1 mix but with better 24-bit audio (At least for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Labyrinth didn't sound as good). I really wish we had external audio (playing a separate audio track from a USB in junction with the disc) on some Ultra HD Player (Help us, Oppo. You're our only hope) so we can watch the amazing 4K restoration in Labyrinth but also hear the original LaserDisc Dolby Stereo audio.
And I’ve loved every pixel of it.
(Clarissa Darling, Clarissa Explains It All) You’re so right. (Kylo Ren, Star Wars: The Force Awakens)

Well, probably like you, I would love to have the speakers filled with the proper sound and not just all filled for the sake of filling them all. This is why I love to stick to original theatrical soundmixes whenever possible.

They’re reissuing the film again, this time with 5.1 and original 2.0 as options.
