Thanks, will give VirtualDub a try. Which plugins would I need for a basic regrade?

I'm not working on that project. It was just a test on how FCPX would do it.
Doing that scene by scene? No way!

Also interested in this, and thinking any corrections may need to be shot-by-shot, or at least checked shot-by-shot. Supposedly the gold filter was added to increase the overall feeling of the oppressive heat of the summer, but I'm not sure if the amount of gold may have varied depending on interior/exterior shots, day/night shots, or, most likely, pre-fire/post-fire shots. If it's really just a single tint added throughout, AviSynth may be able to handle it in a couple lines.

Just a quick update. It will defintely be a scene by scene regrade. I've cut it up into individual scenes using VideoRedo and have matched a couple of the early scenes to the dvd using a couple of VirtualDub filters. Unfortunately, it'll probably take some time to do the whole thing but if the Scottish weather continues to be this bad it may be sooner rather than later

I love my DVD but never bought the b;u-ray because of the colour grade. thanks for all your hard work. |
