Tell me, is there a new 2K edition? I can not find it in the Internet, can anyone share?

It seems to only be officially released in some European countries as of right now.

Two notable releases appear to be the French Les Aventures de Jack Burton dans les Griffes du Mandarin Blu-Ray Steelbook and an Italian Grosso guaio a Chinatown Limited Edition Blu-Ray set.

Apparently Amazon.com has hosted the same version as the new 2K recovery, but I would not refuse BD with a better quality than WEB DL

There is, but the French / Italian bluray has not appeared online as yet. The Italian Midnight (Koch Media) release is preferable as it has much better compression due to a higher bitrate using much more of a BD50.

Zoidberg's Netflix cap uses the same 2k remaster (I also have a personal cap from Vice HD UK but is rather soft looking).

From the looks of it the Amazon one you have is the same but would need to compare to be certain.

The new master is more correct with regards to geometry, the Fox/Arrow blu is stretched too much horizontally. The oval gong in the comparison screenshots is caused by distortions introduced by the anamorphic lenses used to shoot this picture. These kinds of distortions are everywhere in 80's scope movies if you know where to look, it's just an inherent part of the technology of the era.

Regarding the colour timing the new master is indeed more faithful to the original release prints although skin tones are too orange in the new master and the green/blue tones have been homogenized into the digital 'teal' we all know and love 

Not to mention there is some loss of color variety in blue shots.

That's how digital grading rolls unfortunately.

You could actually buy it Amazon fairly easily, in fact, here's the store-page. You just have to switch to the Italian version of the website (Amazon.it) and login like you normally would as though it's in America or wherever else you are. Just turn on Google Translate if necessary and you should be able to find your way around.

The old master is clearly blanket red. The old master is also sightly squeezed which is not the case of the new one.
Circles in background cannot be round due to the use of anamorphic long lenses.

I have exactly the same streaming version from the American Amazon obtained directly from the storage, bypassing the protection that the site adds during the broadcast.
