Right when the truck enters the alley, it's very blue. Then it's mostly greenish. The lightning effects are cyan-blue. Overall, the movie is mostly greenish. The beginning credits are very blue, and the Budha statues area at Lo Pan's place is quite blue, mostly because of the carpet.

Thanks for the report Beber! When I get time I'll cap the laserdisc to see how it compares to the dvd/blu.

Just found out that a UK channel called horror is showing the new master with the Netflix colour timing. I'm watching it now! It's only in SD but it means the master is out there now. The PAL speedup is insufferable though.

Zoidberg, just noticed Viceland HD were showing this tonight but just missed the end to see if it was the new master like Horror, did you catch it, otherwise its on again next Saturday at 11:05pm. Have set my S*y Q box to record it and if its the new master can capture it via hdmi capture (splitter + HD-PVR2 ) to my pc. Unable to capture the direct S*y HD stream anymore, only Freesat HD, and don't have cable in my area to capture directly that way. Do you have the ability for direct cable capture.

Hi X5gb,
It looks like Viceland is a Sky only channel, I'm on virginmedia unfortunately. If you can check it out this weekend that would be great, if a channel like horror is running the new master there's hope it will pop up elsewhere! You've got to love a bit of Big Trouble on a dark and stormy night.

Will do, and if so, maybe it would make for a good hybrid combined with your netflix one.

I'm running some tests on ways I can improve the NetFlix cap should nothing else come along. I haven't watched any Sky satellite broadcasts for a long time, how's the compression on HD channels these days?

Not the best, but The HD entertainment channels like Viceland are better than the severely compressed Sky Movies. The Q box doesn't help either as the picture appears softer than my Sky HD box and dvb-s2 pc sat card.

Zoidberg, it was the new hd master and the logo thankfully stayed in black letterbox, obviously frames will be missing around commercial breaks and they showed it without DD5.1 (no probs I'm sure as it can be synced with the Bluray). I will get it captured in the next few days with my HD-PVR 2+, edit commercials and get a link over to you in case its of any use in improving the netflix.
