Big Trouble In Little China (Custom BD)
#21
Right, captured it, edited the commercials and decided to slow both video and DD2.0 audio to 23.976, only one intrusive popup during the credits at the end, the link should be with you, zoidberg within about 3 to 4 hrs.

Pulling up an old thread here but I wanted to drop some thanks. I had a hankering to watch some John Carpenter last night and decided to watch BTILC and specifically this project.

Man the color timing is way different to the BD but I loved it. Thanks again for the project Zoid.

My pleasure PDB. The new colour timing is quite something isn't it? I was lucky enough to catch a 70mm screening in April and sure enough it was dark, moody and blue blue blue. It looks like the Netflix was a genuine attempt to go back to the theatrical colours, although the Netflix timing has more consistent orangey skin tones whereas the 70mm tends to vary going from pinkish to orange to brown sometimes, but that's photochemical colour timing for you. The 'green flames' on the 70mm were genuine vivid green whereas the Netflix has somewhat tealer greens. If anything the 70mm was bluer than the Netflix which surprised me.

Really interesting, so does this version plus the grain plate looks better than the Arrow BD?
