English - downmixed BD stereo track to mono for reference (don't think I need to include this, LOL... unless it's for comparison)
English - Original mono sourced from JPN LD
English - Original mono sourced from R2 DVD (slightly different than LD track, as it's missing a sound effect)
English - Original mono sourced from JPN LD/OST Vinyl LP - a hybrid (with little alternate dialog and two alternate versions of songs thanx to vinyl lp)
Arabic - Original mono dub sourced from a bootleg R1 DVD
Bulgarian - Original mono voice-over sourced from R2 DVD
Chinese Mandarin - Original mono dub sourced from NTSC VCD
Czech - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Danish - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Dutch - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
French - Original mono dub sourced from PAL LD
German - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Greek - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Hebrew - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Hindi - Original mono dub sourced from German BD
Hungarian - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Italian - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Korean - Original mono dub sourced from R3 DVD
Norwegian - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Portuguese (Brazil) - Original mono sourced from R1 DVD
Portuguese (Euro) - Original mono sourced from R2 DVD
Romanian - Original Dolby Stereo dub sourced from R2 DVD
Russian - Original Dolby Stereo dub sourced from EUR BD
Swedish - Original mono dub sourced from R2 DVD
Ukrainian - Original mono voice-over sourced from PAL DVB broadcast
Indeed very impressive.
But, regarding the audio tracks... I was recently made aware that an edit was made in the early 1990's. When Wart falls down Madame Mim's chimney, she originally said: "Sounds like someone's sick. How lovely. I do hope it's serious. Something dreadful. Oh, bat gizzards!". But this was shortened to "Sounds like someone's sick. How lovely. Oh, bat gizzards!".
The original Swedish dub has the original line, but all home video releases from 1993 onwards, uses a variation of the short line. The Norwegian dub is from 1993, so it uses the short version.
Also, at the very end, the Norwegian and Swedish soundtrack is missing the song. The fanfare is there, but the choir singing "Hail King Arthur! King Arthur, the King!" is completely missing.

You forgot the Japanese LPCM Mono from the Laserdisc.

I didn't forget it. I added sources that I could acquire and that just wasn't one of them. (Yes, I did receive the English audio from the JP LD, but not the JPN audio) There are a few other dubs, that are not present on my release, but I know exist somewhere. (the original Finnish dub, only included in excerpts from a VHS, are available on youtube and I know there are others. For all audio tracks, I was going for the original mono (or at least original)

Some of the info was hard to verify, when it comes to the exact dating of some of the dubs. Took a lot of homework and since I don't speak most of those languages, I had to take other people's word. I appreciate the update on the Norwegian dub, being the slightly edited down version. That's a shame, since it was one of the harder ones for me to find in viable quality. I might not understand some of the languages, but all other audio outside of dialog is the same (mostly) across the dubs, which gave me point of reference and I know that some of the dialog was cut a little bit on a few dubs (where I had to play some tricks to keep sync, usually around shot changes) and I discovered that there is a couple of lines of dialog MISSING from the English version ... direct-copy from release notes:

<<<While syncing each audio track manually (I used the BD video/audio as a time-sync reference for the audio and video of this project) I discovered something at the opening scene at the 27th minute into the film where you can clearly see Merlin talking but there is no audible dialog. There was dialog there originally, which is proven with the fact that the lines are present on two of the dubs (The French and the Italian) as well as in the final draft (thanx to TServo2049 for supplying to link so source images) I downloaded all the source images (all 236 of them) for the entire draft and created a PDF document, which is included with this release. In it, you will see the missing part of the dialog is:

Merlin: "Well, after you become a squire then in time you'll be a knight I suppose."
Wart: "Oh, I wish I could." ...I'd give anything to go...
here, the part NOT in quotation marks is where the dialog actually starts in the film... These line were impossible to reconstruct, which I really wanted to do, because there is no place in the film (or other films, as I researched the voice actor and some of his other work) where he uses the word "squire" which really sucks. This missing dialog IS present in the English SDH subtitles that I included>>>

Anyway, now that there's a new source, I'll be giving this project the ol' version 2.0

If anyone has additional original mono mixes to contribute to this, feel free to mention it here. If not, then I already have plenty to work with

The Japanese CLV Laserdisc has an LPCM mono track. I think that you had the CAV version. The subtitles could be extracted from the latter.

May they be there?

Quote:The original cinema mono track from 1963 is available on the right digital track.

Sadly, it is one of the few Disney titles missing from my collection...

Hi there! Your work on this version of the film is really admirable and extensive! Thank you for all the time you put into creating it. I was a sucker and once got the BD without knowing how badly they butchered it. Just wondering, was there ever any progress made on an ol' version 2.0 for this? I would love to know. Thanks and take care!
