Did you ever finish this project Evit, Uncle Buck happens to be one of my favorite Hughes movie's and wouldn't mind seeing the results of your labour.

Yes, I did! I was working on restoring the Italian theatrical version, I never produced one with English credits because I never thought there was enough interest for it. I figure I could still release one.
This is also my favourite Hughes' film

I'm interested also since I love the film (although Planes Trains Autos is my fav Hughes)

Well IMHO, my preference would be:
1. MKV 2. BD file Structure 3. BD ISO but that's just me

I usually create a lossless intermediate in AVI, from that a h264 via x264 and then BD ISO with tsmuxer. What's the best workflow for a Mkv?
