CGI doors? Where is that? I haven't seen it yet. You mean there's more CGI modifications than the sloth guy's arm?

I assume the "odd" Italian Blu-Ray have none of these CGI modifications?
AKA thxita on OriginalTrilogy
I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.

What's even the point of this? It's been awhile since I've seen this so I don't know the context, is it some continuity thing?

The UHD version will have to be used as basis for an edit coupled with the 2010 Blu-ray to replace these CG modified shots on top of a double regrade for both looks of the original 1995 prints. Fincher is on my blacklist now.

Well, of course. Those were implemented just now for this new master. So, as many other movies, "Seven" no longer exists, neither in color, nor content and sound. There was no use of CGI at all originally, right? Not even a digital matte painting or a sky or whatever, right?

I haven’t looked at it yet but people are saying the Doe shots in the police cruiser at the end are AI sharpened.

Yes, Fincher said it in an interview. It's shots behind the grid that turned out to be out of focus at 8K that Fincher, with his now digital mentality, had sharpened with AI.

https://ew.com/david-fincher-discusses-u...ox-8763180

"And I definitely did some things that I felt I had to do, especially in-focus stuff. There were some shots of Kevin in the backseat of the police car with the grate that divides the front of the police car to the back, and there were shots that were completely out of focus. We were able to use AI and make mattes and extract the performance that was in the backseat and render it. It's still soft, but it's not as egregious as it was. But yeah, my real attitude is I don't want to change it. I want to make it opening night, 1995, but the pristine version of that."

Yeah, right... The guy is completely schizophrenic: "I don't want to change it, but change this, that and the other thing."

You mean "Mindhunter". That was a pretty good show, with BTK being teased every now and then, and that will never have closure, sadly.
