[Help] Starship Troopers original Dolby Surround Mix
#1
Hey guys,

I'm looking for anyone who still have either the LD audio of Starship Troopers ripped or any DVD featuring the Dolby Surround mix.

I would like to sync it to the current 4K / 2K Blu and share audio only. The current Blu is fantastic, but it lacks the DS mix.

Also if anyone is specialist about this film and can point out any difference in the multiple editions 5.1 mixes, let me know.

I mean this has the original 5.1 mix and not just some silly forced Atmos mix

The 4K disc has the 5.1 regular mix + The Atmos. I had the original R1 DVD but got rid of it, the DS mix from this one would be welcome. It's the only thing missing on the fantastic 4K disc. Or the Blu-rays.

I have the R1 DVD with one side movie in 2 channel English and the other side the bonus features... So I may be able to help with the DVD audio.
On LD I only have the German LD release of the movie, also my audio and video grabber somehow stopped working, so I am not able to rip it.

if you can't find the LD, then find the original 1998 DVD, convert the 2.0 Surround AC3 to WAV/FLAC (this gets rid of dialnorm/drc) and it will sound great!!

I would give you the track, but most of my DVD's are still in storage, and it will take me a while to find it!!!

there is one on ebay right now for $4.79 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Starship-Troope...6XIAhCeh4Q
