Well, you auto-align the two sources with an avs script and you do that "pre-pass" thingy which should spit out one of those .stat files. Those are my hope. I checked the source code and the format seems to not be too difficult, though I am not 100% positive PHP can open it and I may have to spend some time trying to understand it fully, but I think it might be feasible.
Edit: Also, since I lack the sources, I would need three or four reference values (frame-numbers) for scenes that are indeed open matte and ones that aren't. (so I can correlate it with the data to make sense of the format).
Videoredo can do frame accurate edits (that is what I use), not only key frames, that is where the smart encoding comes in, it only encodes frames around the edit, leaving the rest as fast pass through. In regards to a buggy mess, sometimes it can leave stutter around the edit points if you use things like ts-muxer to make a blu-ray structure, but I only use mkv which seems to suppress these stutters. Only thing is sometimes (MI:GP is one example) even if you frame match the resultant hybrid to the bluray, for whatever reason the sound can be slightly out of sync and so you need to re-sync which I admit I am not the best at, my MI:GP hybrid still doesn't look 100% to me despite me trying numerous delays. On the other hand my Open Matte Terminator frame matched to the Team Blu release matches exactly with the laserdisc mono tracks, most probably as it is only a few edits at the beginning to remove the HBO intro and slight delay in the appearance of film company logo's.

That's certainly strange and sounds like some undiagnosed weird errors are going on. I'll probably go try TMPGEnc instead. VideoRedo also doesn't seem very stable to me from various attempts to use it. Likes to crash.
It does have an occasional non responsive state but only when working with higher bitrates and is easily forgivable for all its plus points. Love the program myself, have used it for years to edit commercials out of hdtv caps and is worth every penny.
PS, just checked out the trail for Smart Renderer and first impressions are its quite complicated and the preview doesn't show each frame in the bar below the main preview. Will look at it further but Videoredo is alot easier to use and shows each frame in the preview bar. Also reviews by users suggest Videoredo has the edge.

Dear God, The Usual Suspects! That's my favorite movie and I never even suspected it was shot in Super-35. Is there a way to get it without being a member of that Russian site of yours? Maybe we can sort it out by PM? I'm also interested in Gladiator, especially if that's the remaster.
