I'd like those "VOST"s, too, they could be vital for my projects.

Nope, I still have a Player though. I was planning on buying Where Eagles Dare in french with subs to get the original german parts subbed correctly as in the cinemas.
Dammit! The VOST VHS of The Silence of the Lambs has crappy remade subtitles totally different from any other, and yet it's from 1992. I never would have thought that, even back in the day, they did such things. I was so confident that it would retain the original work I saw on 35mm. I'll have to stick with the TV file I managed to collect, then, and rework them using it as basis.
I'm not sure in which section to put this, so I'll just do this here: https://mega.nz/#!N5ACgQgQ!hI-xOgFEWnbZC...rkasqmy-0w
Here are the replacement French subtitles I made for Predator UHD. I used the original ones as seen on the 35mm prints and that were used on TV some time ago as basis. While at it, I made some improvements, too. I also remade the ones for McTiernan's audio commentary. That, I won't do again, though. It's too much work for a commentary. As seen on the UHD: As seen on 35mm and TV: The way I made them: I've made them in PGS/SUP format in Arial and Futura STD Medium with 2 kinds of shadow/outline. Also included are the *.ass files for anyone to convert them like they prefer using Bronan's wonderful toy right here: https://fanrestore.com/thread-2075.html
Here's French subtitles for Croweyes1121's custom reconstruction/fan edit of The Abyss Special Edition in HD v2.1: https://mega.nz/#!EsZ3TSjJ!sCsXk9lcpq2aA...k70f8v9mXM
They're in *.ass format for anyone interested (maybe a couple of French people here?) to use Bronan's excellent tool for *.sup conversion so that they become Blu-ray compatible. They were made based on the original work as seen on TV years ago, made for Titra Films Paris by Anne and Georges Dutter. While at it, I made my own improvements.

Is there any interest in these? Anyway, here's replacement French subtitles for Rocky remastered in 4K: https://mega.nz/#!htQl3AaB!L8-l1089VWw0a...3_qRv0_KVg
They were made based on the originals by Georges Dutter, with some improvements while at it. They're in *.ass format:

Glad to see you're getting a lot of use out of the tool

Here's for Return of the Jedi 4K83 v1.0, in *.sup format. Drop it in tsMuxer with the video file and mux the whole thing in Blu-ray format to enjoy: https://mega.nz/#!slwTkSKT!i-p1GOVf3Jzoy...gdfcw1Z858
I used a font in the Franklin Gothic family to approximate the original look for the Alien parts.
Here's for the UHD Webrip of Die Hard With A Vengeance: https://mega.nz/#!AopUGITA!U_1YJTSlKlL4l...VMma3h3CR4
The *.rar includes 8 PGS/*.sup files in 2 fonts, 2 different styles of outlines and shadows (see below), for both the complete movie and forced subtitles for the French dub. These were made based on the original work by Paul J. Memmi, who also worked on Terminator 2 and Speed. As for the German parts, I went with this, as I couldn't find the original font: |
