My hybrid open matte releases
What is needed is comparisons between Random.next version and this "IMAX" one. The "IMAX" one has a different color timing, less yellow, than the Blu-ray. The poster made a point about that. He also talks about differences in framing and mentions an IMAX introduction, the countdown, I guess, just like in an IMAX theater, that precedes the movie.

Got the Imax this morning, thanks for pointing it out Beber. Only started to look at it but here is a quick rundown

Random/Focuspuller (Might be a frame off or so)

I gave them a quick look by viewing the first few minutes of both at the same time. I don't see radically different framing over Random's work and I would say that Random's 264 encode is slightly better than fp's low bit 265 encode for low motion scenes and much better for high motion.

One other big difference I saw was the color, which lack the yellow and lessens the greens to bring back blues. I'll also note that fp's uses the BD's chapters, the US BD opening logos and pretty sure the Imax bumper is from the youtube clip:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPS7u7x8tx4

Random's studio credits are all 1.77.

Otherwise I don't know what fp's source is, if it is RD or not. I like the colors and would welcome a 4K but the overall master looks similar to Randoms so far. And Random's encode is a little less mushy and given more room to breath. Still love Random's version a lot but more choices are great. Im left wondering the source and if this is the truth or a lie.

It appears to have disappeared from the spleen now!
I do like the colors on the 'IMAX' release but i have to say I think its been built from Random.next's work.

Wonder if it was the criticism or the heat from some other place...

It sure looked like Randoms

I didn't even have the time to get it either... Bummer! We'll see if it comes back eventually with the 4K that was announced.

Yes, thank you. I guess it will be reuploaded to other trackers soon. If not I'll upload it to the cloud and will provide link for you.

Thanks, 'cause my Russian sucks, you know. No rush, though, it'll probably spread in a few days.
