My hybrid open matte releases

Awesome! I have a question, have you considered releases where the corners aren't filled? Only black as they should be?
That would make it like "cross" releases like here:

The Spleen has a new Blade Runner 2049 version that is claimed to be the IMAX version coming from an obscure and undisclosed source, the assumption being it was leaked by Deakins... A future 4K version has been basically announced in the comment section, too.

has the 4k been released (as mentioned) or is there a better 1080p copy on myspleen? i've been putting off re-watching BR2049 for months now because i want to see it in OM with this colour grading 

i have the 1080p x265 encode and it noticeably struggles a bit. i don't want to see it that way unless there's nothing else, it hurts the beautiful cinematography of the film and i think that's a major reason it did well! deakins didn't bake compression artifacts into the film

would've been perfectly content with 1280x720p x264 at that size. even a slightly better x264 encode with more efficient audio compression would've looked far better as the DTS takes up a big chunk of space when it doesn't need to

i did PM beber a while ago asking him if it did get released, but he never sent a reply back. (i don't use any private trackers out of principle..)

No, randomnext is not maksnew, two separate people but are friends. What I’d give for a source to become available so random could get rid of the corner blurs completely.

Didn’t realise there was a 35mm full frame, thought there was only scope, are you talking about 2?. If so, not sure axis etc would be correct or quality enough to work with in auto-overlay, you need to ask random directly.
