Giveaway of the Day and Other Free/Charity Software Offers

AFAIK, there's always a free version of that available, so it's not really an offer in the giveawayoftheday.com sense of the word.  A list of all free software belongs in another thread.

BTW, you weren't the only person with whom I discussed the fixed-term nature of some of the offers, so I hope you didn't feel singled out in my last post. Smile  I was just trying to clarify what I meant by free so that people know what to expect from what's posted here.

Oh ... didn't know that (I thought it was/is just for their new, redesigned launch.)

Whoa, this is/was a nice one! Even the GiveawayOfTheDay comments were double-plus good (but someone couldn't get it to load). I searched and found SharewareOnSale also had this one (noting a "1-computer lifetime license"). If anyone didn't grab it, it could be around again. Then again, there is Plan B (below).

Sneaking around (hard to do when one is a 10 story titan (I know I somewhere said I was a 5 story titan, but that's the problem with stories ... they grow in the telling) produced this:

I requested and was e-mailed the registration key, and downloaded the loader program from GiveawayOfTheDay ... twice, using different e-mail accounts, etc., for separate requests. [Image: cool.png]  Both e-mailed registration keys ("LEUAN-FNRT7-Y9HEY-ZTYRF-7PHZS-ZNJ9S") were identical. Both later-downloaded actual program files ("ColorDirector_5.0.7213.194237_GM4_LE_LE_CDR180124-01.exe") were identical (byte-to-byte compared).

Skipping registration on the 1st run of ColorDirector, I found no "reminders" or "timers" to register. Even after I registered (and received CyberLink's confirmation e-mail), the program's registration entry area remained blank as if I never registered. I suspect "registration" really doesn't matter for unfettered use of this older version. Good to keep in mind for any later-comers to try.   Wink

The CyberLink website also has a "free software" page:
Code:
CyberLink Products - Download Free Mobile Apps & PC Software
https://www.cyberlink.com/stat/product/free-zone/enu/free-software-static.jsp

Those are fun utilities but here are the better ones!

On CyberLinks Exclusive download for Giveaway Club page http://www.cyberlink.com/stat/edms/Givea...wnload.jsp are these two previous-version programs -- ColorDirector 5 LE and PowerDirector 15 LE !

Go for it!

Thanks!

This was a little bit confusing, though. I could download and install PowerDirector, but I couldn't find the license key. Luckily, it wasn't that hard to guess the URL for the giveaway page for PowerDirector, and I found the key there.

Sorry for the confusion.

It looks like the CyberLink page for the Giveaway Club website's special was ColorDirector 5LE with the extra "gift" click-through for PowerDirector 15LE, while the special for the PowerDirector15LE added the reduced-price "gift" click-through for their new products. The main specials were handled differently than the gift items. Rolleyes

Thanks for that GC link! It keeps things simple. If you find any others like that be sure to post them, because we like free stuff! Big Grin
