Surely it will look better than captured with a lower quality player; *maybe* it could be matched with a letterbox DVD instead using a BD, where quality difference will be too much.

I wonder if there is an open matte DVD around, as T2...

About audio: what's about other following LD editions?

I checked, and a fullscreen DVD doesn't exist.

I do believe a fullscreen DVD does exist

when it was first released on DVD in 1999, a sperate fullscreen set was released alongside the widescreen set.

Indeed, it is one of the rarest examples of REAL full frame release - at least, speaking about actual film, and not digital cinema.
