Had an idea to help collectors and restorers out
a sticky list of BD titles that contain original audio mixes that could be used for future projects. This would save time in capturing LD audio if a label like Arrow for example have already provided an original mix in LPCM or to find out if the DTS-MA 2.0 mix is actually the original mix and not a fold down of the 5.1 mix on the same disc
opinions?

Good idea! Regarding TLADILA, you might check out against old DVDs and the old Blu for any mix difference.
I think the Arrow 2.0 track might be untouched and hopefully not a fold down of the 5.1
I realised the french 2.0 is now gone so I need to buy an old DVD to salvage it... sigh
or if anyone have the original R1 DVD, PM as I want the french dub 2.0 track.

the arrow track has a lot of distortion in the 2.0 track (not the 5.1) it so likely it's untouched . Just curious cause w. friedkin likes to alter his movies. I think the dvd is the same, best reference would be LD or VHS.

I sadly don't have the Arrow TLADILA yet but I have done comparisons to the previous issues. The original 5.1 is the mix simply upgraded with no changes and removes the distortion on the old mix. The old mix can be sampled on the dub 2.0 tracks. I've just found the hard to find Image LD with a PCM track so I'll have to check that out as well. TLADILA has some remarkable sound editing for 1985 and the 5.1 just makes it more clearly audible.
A big one is the reissue French Connection BD finally having the original mono mix as all previous video copies were either stereoized or the Dolby stereo remix from the 90's or the 5.1 remix. It is SO much better though can be very noisy at times.
