I'm no fan of KK650 and you are free to express your opinion of his work but tread lightly. This sounds less like a criticism and more like a beef with a man who hasn't been around here in years. That's backed up by the fact you are going site to site with this vitriol. A first post filled with kind of rancor is not going to earn you any friends or agreement.

Plus this thread only mentions his work and is really about 44rh1n's project so you are off topic.

Oh gosh, I HOPE THEY DON'T add Martin Freeman to the flashback of Bilbo finding the ring. And they'd better not color it to look all glossy and digital like The Hobbit. That would be an absolute nightmare!

It's gotta stay true to the original theatrical colors, with the added benefits of HDR, of course. AND THAT'S IT.

Just do it with your TV or display. You don't need any skill to do this.

Why you'd want to do it is beyond me, though. Because you don't like green, I guess, lol.

There is no way to just remove a layer of green in TV while preserving the whites-

I really do wish my bar would be so low, I'd enjoy movies a lot more - Thanks for the advice.

Back in the day after the extended blu-rays came out and there were fans who noticed the green tint immediately, Peter Jackson felt the need to respond to the people criticizing him by lying and saying he was happy with the grading and nothing could be done anyways because of how the DI was created for Fellowship as opposed to TT and ROTK- I'm pretty sure he sent this lie directly to The Digital Bits-

Does anyone recall that or have a link to it? Bill Hunt referenced this in his quick tweet reviews for the 4K set- The only articles I can find now is Peter Jackson actually saying that he wasn't happy with the Blu-rays- so he started with 1 lie and moved on to another.

Bill Hunt being a bit of a shill seems to have removed that original lie from his site, i'm just curious if anyone has that letter archived somewhere.
